Co-designing stormwater adaptations through community-informed urban pluvial flood modeling

Baltimore City, Maryland, is facing rising flood risk due to intense urbanization, aging infrastructure, and climate change. We combine long-term participatory science and urban flood modeling to design and evaluate flood adaptation options preferred by Baltimore City stakeholders. Selected adaptations can reduce flooding by up to 55%.
